This NH icon gets a bad rap. Of course, they have the best turkey dinner anywhere, but it doesn't stop there. The sandwiches & burgers are top notch. Highly recommend the "turkey sampler" thingy too. The bar is friendly & inviting. The lounge fills up for trivia night on Thursdays (we have been going for this for over 10 years; best quiz in the lakes region for sure).

A group of us had dinner at Hart's Turkey Farm. I am not a big fan of turkey, so I got the baked stuffed sea scallops. They were really great! I upgraded one of my sides to the loaded baked potato. It was more of a twice-baked potato than a loaded baked potato and was not great. The fresh butternut squash was outstanding. Our server was great.

It was my first time at Hart's Turkey Farm, despite living in New Hampshire for 20+ years. This is the restaurant where every day is Thanksgiving! I knew I would be passing through Meredith so I was pleased to see they have online ordering for takeout, including Apple Pay which makes it so easy from your phone. My order was ready in about 20 minutes, and I picked it up at the gift shop desk right inside the front door. My experience inside the restaurant was brief, because I only went in to use the restroom and to grab my order. My impression of the interior is that it's old school and very much a place one's elderly parents would like, homey and cozy and probably unchanged in many years. But I will tell you: this place is immaculately clean. The restroom was shining and spotless. The front door was gleaming and had no fingerprints. (I ALWAYS take notice of the front door of any place I go to, whether the handle is sticky or there's grubby fingerprints all over it) Even the massive parking lot was freshly paved and looked bright and beautiful. A lot of care goes into to this place. The food? It was fine: a nice box of cozy beige food, although a bit bland. The stuffing was kinda mushy and wet, and I needed to add a good sprinkling of salt over the whole thing. But the cleanliness of the restaurant is a marvel.

We are die-hard fans of Hart's Turkey Farm's trivia night on Thursdays. Last night we were seated in a room behind the host, and found it extremely difficult to hear the questions because the speaker he was using was placed in another room. We were not alone here, as everyone in our room, who was playing, had the same problem. Anyway a better audio system can be used on trivia night? Otherwise, we love this place!

Depending on your perspective, walking into Hart's Turkey Farm Restaurant, you will either be discouraged by the dated interior, or like me, absolutely delighted at walking into the past and perhaps reliving some amazing memories of what we consider simpler times. Hart's Turkey Farm Restaurant is an amazing place. While the menu might be full of standard American fare, there is absolutely nothing wrong with that and I have to say that the food is pretty much spot on. The service here is friendly and outgoing and the place is well-kept. Hart's Turkey Farm Restaurant is about as much the experience as it is about the food. In a lot of ways, it is like stepping into a scene set in a country restaurant in an old movie. I mean this as a supreme compliment. If you find yourself in the general area, this is a must visit place.

Perhaps the most famous of all of the good restaurants in Meredith, Hart's has been here for close to 70 years. We seated in the bar area which is huge with lots of seating choices. Yes the place feels a bit dated, but is cozy. The turkey Caesar Salad wrap was fresh and tasty. The Turkey Salad sandwich was over-sized. Yes they know how to make delicious turkey.. Service was friendly and prompt.

I used to come here as a kid with my family but couldn't remember much about the restaurant but was able to recognize the turkey platters on the wall. It's been over 30 years-maybe 40? That's how long this place has been in business! They recently had an accident where a car drove into the restaurant so they are under construction but don't let that stop you! Despite the construction and minimal noise the dining room was spotless as was the bar area. We were a group of 5, some getting meals or a sandwich with me only having an appetizer. Everything came together and was piping hot and delicious! Don't skip the carrot relish, corn bread and rolls. Our server was friendly, quick and attentive! Want a great turkey meal (well turkey anything)? This is your place!
